Finally Dead Eve Benson Vampire Book 1 eBook P S Power

This could have been a God book. From what I did read, almost half of it, the premise could have been good, but the book was so full of fluff! Really it was like if someone followed you around, told every single thing you did and said that was this book pretty much. She put in things that didn't need to be there and had nothing to do with the story. On top of that you could never tell who was talking. I had to read back more than a few times to try and figure out who was saying what which stops the flow of reading and just ruins it. Then others the nonchalant rape talk. Yea the girl who had just been turned into a vampire would be talking to someone, someone who may not have even knew her or had just met her and she would say something like "well yes, I should be able to do that unless of course they beat a rape me like they do. You k ow how it is" that's not an exact quote but close and it was said in just normal conversation all the time!! She was always bring up being raped or maybe being raped or how she might just rape some guy in the mass. Yea It was very odd, awkward, and uncomfortable to even be reading it. I did read a review on forwards though where someone said there was a backstory in another book but this was the first in a series so it should have said someplace that this girl was in another book and had a backstory because it really is weird and not a normal thing for anyone to talk that way even a vampire. Not just that but she seemed almost unemotional in the half I did read. The only time she even showed anything at all was the beginning of aggression where she runs at guy she is talking to and was going to hit him but instead bugs him. Yea didn't feel right and was just odd. I usually don't give up on books. In fact I can count on one hand how many books I have ever given up on and I have read hundreds if not thousands of books. Usually I run fifty a year or close to it and have been reading that many for years and years. So for me to stop reading a book there has to be a good reason. There were also typos or editing mistakes so the book had scrappy editing on top of it. Way too many commas and just not very well written. I can usually solver thru a badly written book though if the story is interesting, this wasn't. It could have been though if she had been at least a bit descriptive and took out all the stuff that didn't matter and given the poor girl some kind of at least inner emotions. I do think she tried there but it just certain off as flat and like the girl would talk herself out of caring about anything. It was just weird. So I would not refer this book to anyone at least don't pay for it. Get it if it comes up as a free book. I think that's how I got it, or it was 99 cents but it want even worth that.

Finally Dead Eve Benson Vampire Book 1 eBook P S Power Reviews

A lot of sentences ending in question marks often make me wonder if this is truly book 1. Also makes me wonder if Eve knows anything; she keeps asking questions as if she's looking for confirmation because she doesn't know or is she making rhetorically remarks. Is it irony?
(Below just a general idea that came to me while reading this story.)
Also I've been thinking about this whole dead/undead thing with vampires and although the body dies to get to that state something is definitely alive, thinking, having needs, and eating are done by living things.
I was very confused by this book. This is supposed to be the first book in a series of three. I was expecting a lot more lead in to past events, this book leaves too many blank spots. It constantly mentions events and especially people...but there is NO introduction as to who these people are or how they meet Eve. Granted this is my first book by this author so I may be jumping the gun. If there are other books that lead up to this one that gives a more detailed idea of how all the other people mentioned became part of Eve's life then I am in error with this review.
I'm rather confused by this writer.I have read three of her books and I really do like the world she creates but the introspection her protagonists go thru is often repetive and mind numbing for me...perhaps imbeing overly critical ..maybe I do need to be told how painful it is... in minute detail ..vampire speed is for this newborn..but it causes me to leap to the next paragraph after the 5 the time ..never a good thing. The supernatural in these reads r nothing like any you may have met before .Ms Benson has her own take on them and it fly's in the face of anything you've seen before. Is this good as in creative ?? I just can't seem to get beyond my feeling of "wait she's a vampire"??? Or wait their demons?? Everyone seems so nice even when their smashing some ones head into a pulp..only besacuse that person has no redeeming virtue and broken so many rules death is the only thing but then let's tidy up the ice cream store and move on ...what??? So I remain confused..and will read one more to see if anything changes..
This is the first book of the Eve Benson trilogy. She's a new vampire, strong, fast, and ready for anything, even when the crap hits the fan on her very fist night!

This is a fantastic series set in the Keeley Thompson / Zack Hartley universe. All the old favorites are there, and they've been "training" her for years, even if she didn't know it. Eve is a lot of fun and this book explores her new world and reveals a few secrets that you might not expect.

If you liked either the Keeley or Zack books, you're going to love this series. If you've liked any other P.S. Power book, you'll like this one. I would read all the Keeley and Zack books first, but you could actually read this as a stand-alone series. It's fun, fast-paced and a great read. I highly recommend it.
