Blake and Josh have rich cultural backgrounds and travel extensively with their families, whose favourite ‘tried and true’ recipes from many parts of the globe are included in this book.

The boys are best mates and share much in common including a thirst for life, embracing all it has to offer despite their (dis)ability. They were born with Down Syndrome and their myriad of personal achievements and milestones make their family and friends very proud. Everyone who comes into contact with them leaves feeling happier and we would like to share some of that joy with you. Keen chefs, the boys have enthusiastically assisted in the preparation of these recipes and hope you get as much enjoyment from making and eating the food as they have.

This book was created on their behalf as a fundraiser for their school, St Edmunds at Wahroonga in Sydney, Australia. Every child in the school has a disability, but the school slogan “Where the kids are cool, life is celebrated, and disability is only a state of mind” affirms the positive attitude displayed by the students. Blake and Joshua’s legacy is to continue raising money for the school so the kids who come after them benefit from the same positive experience that nurtured and shaped them into confident young adults.
